Tangy, tart, salty and sour: do these four words get your taste buds going and set your mouth a-watering? If so, hold onto your piccalilli-adorned hat.
Piccalilli is a type of mustard pickle, but unlike most mustard pickles it has a very low sugar content.
Our piccalilli pickle is packed with particularly pleasant locally sourced vegetables (including cauliflower, cucumber, zucchini, green beans and onions), and a touch of cornflour which is actually cornflour, not wheat-based.
Our piccalilli is also vegan and gluten free, though the vegan aspect will be totally blown if you pair it - as we do - with a ploughman’s lunch, or cold meats (especially corned beef) or scrumptious scotch eggs... yum, is it lunchtime yet?
